What You'll Need
To make this delicious meal you'll need the following ingredients
10 oz (300 g) of Beef, any tender cut you like, sirloin, rib-eye)
1 Egg White
1 tsp of Baking Soda
1/2 Tbsp of cornstarch (fav gluten free option)
2 cups (140 g) of Broccoli
5 cloves of garlic, minced
2 Tbsp of soy sauce
2 Tbsp of oyster sauce
1/2 Tbsp of rice vinegar
1/2 to 1 tsp of black pepper (depends on your spice preference).
Instructions
In a bowl, mix 1 egg white, 1 tsp of baking soda, and half a tbsp of cornstarch.
Thinly slice the beef and add it to the mixture, and let marinate for 5 minutes while you prepare the rest of the ingredients.
In a pot of boiling water, cook the broccoli until tender then set aside. In a bowl, mix the minced garlic. soy sauce, oyster sauce, rice vinegar, and black pepper.
Separately, mix 1.5 Tbsp of cornstarch with 2 tbsp of water. Pour this mixture into the sauce above, and whisk till everything is combined.
In a pan, drizzle some oil and turn the heat up to medium-high.
Once the pan is hot, add in the beef allow it to sit for 30 seconds without moving it.
Next, cook the meat for 3 to 5 minutes.
Add the cooked broccoli into the pan, pour in the sauce, and cook for about 2 minutes until the sauce mixture thickens.
Garnish with optional toasted sesame seeds and chopped scallions, and enjoy!
